This Canadian actor, who was born in Lebanon, achieved his greatest success in comedy, science fiction, and action films. Youngblood (1986), set in the realm of junior hockey in Canada, marked Reeves's acting debut as a hockey player. Speed established Keanu Reeves as a high-budget action star in Hollywood films in 1994. Its triumph marked the beginning of a five-year period in which Reeves alternated between minor pictures, such as Feeling Minnesota (1996) and The Last Time I Committed Suicide (1997), and major films, such as A Walk in the Clouds (1995) and The Devil's Advocate (1995). (1997). After all of this, Reeves did the unimaginable and passed on the Speed sequel, but a few years later he achieved box-office gold again with the Wachowski twins' cyber-thriller, The Matrix (1999).

Keanu Reeves is not much of a holiday person, but he does have a list of favourite destinations where he has traveled or intends to do so. France is one of his favourites and he has traveled to Paris and across the French Riviera. Keanu finds Paris one of the most fascinating cities in the World, with its incredible monuments and museums such as the Louvre, the vibrant art and music scene and the overall charm of sitting along side the Siene river and enjoying a glass of french wine. He has also traveled across the many towns in the French Riviera, such as Cannes, Nice, Monte Carlo and Saint Tropez; and considers the riviera a truly remarkable vacation spot. Taking a Yatch to the glamourous city of Monaco from Nice is one of his favourite memories. One can also take a train ride by mountain Railway through the Alps, beyond canyons and tunnels discovering picturesque towns and medieval villages hidden to most visitors of the French Riviera. 

Budapest, the capital city of Hungary located on the banks of River Danube, is a fantastic place to visit in Keanu's opinion. This historical city is dotted with incredible monuments from the medieval period, boasting of outstanding architecture and designs. The Buda Castle and the Hungarian Parliament building are prominent amongst them. One can take a sightseeing tour through the Dunabe river to explore the city in its outstanding glory with well lit monuments adding to the city's splendour. Hungary is popular for its wineries and a wine tour from Budapest is a perfect way to explore its rich wine making heritage. Budapest also has many popular churches and synagogues, such as St. Stephen's Basilica, Gellért Hill Cave, St Michael's Church and many more. A visit to these cathedrals provides a glimpse into the glorious heritage of the region.

Peurto Rico is a Carribbean Island with gorgeous beaches, mountains, waterfalls and tropical rainforests. A popular destination for celebrities and general public alike, the island of Peurto Rico attracts millions of tourists each year. One can go for a trek or a guided tour across the El Yunque rainforests for a close brush with nature, enjoying the diverse flora, fauna and unique animal life of the islands. There are a variety of water sports one an indulge in, such as snorkling, kayaking, water skiing and sailing. Catamaran cruises are also a big raze with many travelers, who love to sail around the islands at a idyllic pace and enjoy the blue waters, marine life and the gorgeous views of the local mountains & greens. One of the most popular destinations in the Carribbean, Peurto Rico has also been one of the top island vacation hotspots for Keanu. 

Keanu lists Bhutan as one of his favourite countries on the planet. A tiny Buddhist kingdom nestled in the Himalayas between India and China, Bhutan is popular for its glorious monasteries, fortresses and a dramatic Himalayan landscape. A pristine culture largely untouched by modern consumerism, Bhutan is an oasis of peace and tranquility. One can visit the gorgeous monasteries of Tiger Nest, Trongsa Dzong - home of the royal family and the Punakha Dzong, a majestic fortress located on the river-side. Take a cultural trek to the Bumthang Valley to enjoy picturesque views of the monasteries, temples, and the quaint townships. For wildlife enthusiasts, there are various avenues such as the Bumdeling Wildlife Sanctuary and the Jigme Dorji National Park where one can enjoy birdwatching and guided treks for an immersive experience into the true natural beauty of Bhutan

Many people believe that Keanu Reeves is half Japanese, but that is incorrect. His father is a Chinese Hawaiian and his mother is English. That said, Japan is one of his favourite destinations to visit and he has been in love with the country since the first time he set foot in Tokyo. He loved visiting the Meiji Jingu Shrine and the 10th Century Sensoji temple in Tokyo. The Tokyo National Museum was particular fascinating as it gave him a glimpse into the glorious past and historical richness of modern Japan. Tokyo is also a fantastic place for foodies, with a plethora of Japanese & Asian cuisine joints and bars or izakaya, a perfect place to spend an evening with friends drinking Japanese beer and relishing globally popular Japanese dishes such as Shushi & tempura. Travelers should not miss taking a trip to the iconic Mount Fuji near Tokyo, considered a sacred mountain in Japan that offers incredible sightseeing and trekking options.
