Jim Carrey shares his 5 favourite Holiday Destinations

Jim Carrey, a Canadian-born actor who later relocated to the United States, is a world-famous actor and producer noted for his pliable body motions and expressive face expressions. The two-time Golden Globe winner rose to prominence as a member of the cast of the 1990 Fox sketch comedy In Living Color, but his main performances in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), Dumb and Dumber (1994), and The Mask (1994) established him as a bankable dramatic actor. Although Carrey maintains a stronghold in the comedy genre with films like Bruce Almighty (2003) and Mr. Popper's Penguins (2011), he is also capable of delivering nuanced serious performances, as seen by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) and the drama/comedy Yes Man (2008).  He was included by Empire (UK) magazine in "The Top 100 Movie Stars of All Time" list.

Jim spent a wonderful vacation in Hawaii with his daughter in 2018. This was a time when he witnessed an alarm about a missile attack on Hawaii from North Korea which led to quite a mayhem & drama, but thankfully it turned out to be a false alarm. One of the most beautiful islands in the World, Hawaii is a top notch tourist destination in the middle of the Pacific. Blessed with incredible beaches, gorgeous forests and a vibrant local culture, it has an enchanting appeal. Jim took a yacht on hire to take his family on a ride to explore the exotic marine life around the islands. It was a phenomenal experience being able to watch exotic species of fish, dolphins and turtles in their natural habitat as the yacht sailed in the serene waters of the Pacific. Jim & family also enjoyed watching the traditional Hawaiian dance performance of Luau, a major cultural attraction in Hawaii followed by a scrumptious Hawaiian meal.

Jim had an awesome time visiting Japan, a country where he has a large fan following. Japan is a country of many contradictions, where ancient temples and customs co-exist with modern lifestyle & scientific advancements. A trekking trip to the sacred mountain Fuji is the most incredible way to experience Japan. The panoramic views and gorgeous scenery will leave you spellbound. Jim also had a taste of Tokyo’s amazing nightlife as he visited an Ikazaya or Japanese pub in Nishi-Azabu, one of the city's most high-class neighbourhoods. Tokyo offers an incredible range of options, from street vendors to high end restaurants, to explore the world famous Japanese cuisine items such as sushi, tempura, tofu, sashimi, donburi and many more. Jim’s most memorable memory from his Japan trip was watching a traditional Sumo wrestling match at the Ryōgoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo.

Jim has been to London many times, which is one of his favourite European cities. His last visit to London was to attend the UK premiere of Sonic - the Hedgehog, an adventure comedy movie, at London's Vue Westfield. Located on the banks of the Thames River, London is one of the most gorgeous metropolis in the World, popular for its medieval monuments, palaces & museums, art & music scene and a cosmopolitan culture. Taking an evening cruise down the Thames River was a delightful voyage for Jim, a great way to enjoy the iconic monuments of the city. He also visited the Warner Bros. Studio in London, with real sets used in the shooting of the Harry Porter series. For history enthusiasts, London offers a plethora of options with monuments such as the Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and the St. Paul’s Cathedral, to name a few.

Jim Carrey attended Premios 40 Principales 2008 (Top 40 Awards) at Palacio de Deportes in Madrid in Spain, a music award show by the Spanish radio channel Los 40 Principales. One of the most popular tourist destinations in the World, Spain has access to a gorgeous Mediterranean beachfront, exceptional food, Flamenco music and dance, arts and literature, architecture & history. The capital city of Madrid has majestic monuments such as the Royal Palace, Riena Sofia Museum and Museo Del Prado.
